Ron Hardin

It's an annual prank at the NYT. Maureen Dowd and Thomas Friedman switched columns.

Insufficiently Sensitive

Your idea for a joint Dauber/Patterico blog on Letters to Editors is actually a very powerful one, and please let it happen.

Structure it so that whenever someone writes the NYT or the LAT or Seattle P-I, etc etc, the joint blog gets a CC of it. Then publish from time to time a compilation of LETTERS SUPPRESSED BY THE NYT, etc etc.

Mr. Carroll might not be amused, but inquiring minds want to know what he buries.

dauber

oh, dude . . . I was spoofing. I'd love to do a jt project with Patterico some time but I'm barely maintaining this one, you may have noticed! For awhile the Weekly Std had a gimmick going of publishing the letters the NYT didn't -- I dont know what happened with that, though.

Although I have to admit, the idea of telling our readers to always cc us when they send in letters to mainstream pubs so people can see which letters aren't getting published is absolutely intriguing just the same.

Patterico are you seeing this?

Patterico

It took a while, but yes.
