MS at least had the nerve to admit it up front -- the family of the Marine being held hostage in Iraq did find out "from the media." Too bad the spokesman for the family didn't name names and just embarass a particular outlet for this, because until they start paying some kind of a price, it doesn't matter to them. Lets face it, nothing matters to them other than getting the scoop.
As I noted last night, at least one outlet behaved responsibly, but we all know they've had their little moments in the past, moments when getting their first became more important than remembering the fact that they were human beings.
Would it have killed them, or destroyed their competitive edge to just blur the image?
What the hell is wrong with these people?
Are they past the point where they're capable of feeling shame anymore?

The AP did it with Nick Berg, along with their camera. There's the precedent.
