Isn't getting MI out of investigations of prisoners building a wall, a wall similar to the one that we've just learned was a major problem leading up to Sept 11th?

"Order Mr. Rumsfeld to get military intelligence personnel out of the business of overseeing the detention and interrogation of Iraqi prisoners; an overwhelming majority of the prisoners have no intelligence value."

By definition, ANYONE who interrogates prisoners is in military intelligence, even if they are "officially" cooks or typists, not military intelligence personnel. And how do you know if the prisoners have intelligence value or not unless you interrogate them? I think it is flatly wrong that most have no intelligence value... it's very arrogant of the NYT to say this.

D'oh! I meant to make that argument: it's a Catch-22. Until you interrogate, you don't know if you should have interrogated.
