I'M FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
The grades are in, that's all she wrote, the fat lady has sung!
OK, not exactly, since I still need to get the kids their papers and fill out some forms, but that's clean up stuff.
Of course, since nothing's ever really free in this world, you'll notice that after I got the grades called in at 3, I'm posting this at 9:30. That's because as I finished grading I could feel myself getting more and more feverish and I just had to crash.
Nonetheless, basically, summer is here. We have a weekend of Commissionings and Commencements (always a fun thing), one big push on a project that's way overdue, and then my time is my own.
That means I can get serious about the blogging thing again.
I can finally in good conscience call the cable man. (Admit it: none of you thought I could go this long without the news on.)
I can go back to being methodical about the papers every day.
And, sorry, but you all have been spoiled: it will be quite some time before a post goes up time stamped 4:15 AM again!
I had great kids this semester, and I'm actually going to miss them -- I will not miss getting up at 4 in the morning!
Hello, summer! I'm ready . . .

My favorite take on freedom comes from Edmond Jabès _The Book of Questions_ p.115
Reb Lima: "Freedom awakens gradually as we become conscious of our ties, like the sleeper of his senses. Then, finally, our actions have a name."
A teaching which Reb Zale translated into this image: "You think it is the bird which is free. Wrong : it is the flower."
