WE HAVE NOW OFFICIALLY HIT ROCK BOTTOM

I honestly don't even know how to describe my emotions at seeing this. I am simply and completely horrified and appalled. Disgusted. Is there really nothing left in this country that's sacred? Apparently not. Because now we find (via Memeorandam) that Richard Clarke has sold the movie rights for his book. Yes, that's right, his version of the fight against al Queda is going to be a full length feature film. The mind boggles.

Well we now know three things for sure.

One: Richard Clarke is going to be a very, very rich man.

Two: If you didn't think we had proof before that his apology was disengenous, you've got your proof now. I'm very sorry that your families died, now excuse me, I'm off to have lunch with my agent -- we need to see if I can get points as I try to leverage as much as possible from the story of their deaths. (Gee, he said a "substantial" portion of the profits from the book would go to the families. Wonder if that's in this contract as well?)

Three: When Franklin Miller said Clarke's version read like a movie, he wasn't kidding.

Don't forget, when you comment, to leave your suggestions for who should play the various roles.

Via the Ranting Prof comes word that Dick Clarke has sold the movie rights to his book/a>. The article announcing this has this wonderful quote: "The book, written in a compelling, highly readable style, at times almost seems like a... [Read More]

Casting

Condi...Halle Berry
Bush...Harrison Ford
Clarke...Donald Pleasance (I think he may be deceased, so George C. Scott as a back up)
Rummy...Robert Duvall
Powell...Morgan Freeman

Clarkie - Charles Manson, or Marilyn Manson if Charles is not available.

Bush: Howdy Doody
Cheney: Montgomery Burns
Rumsfeld: Herman Munster
Powell: Fozzie the Bear
Rice: Bugs Bunny (in drag)
Clarke: Dexter
John Kerry: Goofy
And a cameo appearance by John McCain as himself.

You know, I didn't prevent 9-11 either. Where's my movie deal?

Also,

Bill and Hillary: Shaggy and Scooby
Gore: Inspector Gadget
Bush Sr: Grover
Mrs. Bush: Mayor of Townsville
Quayle: JarJar Binks

I love the Halle Berry idea. But I have no idea who Mongomery Burns is. I also love the idea that, since we didnt prevent 9/11, we've got movie deals to cut as well!

OH! Wait! you mean Homer's boss! too funny.

The 9/11 Commission's PORN SHOT. And, most people didn't even see it.

But Jamie Gorelick wore a lavender blouse, that had labia lapels resting on her black suit. If that woman didn't look like she was turned upside down in her chair, so that her bottom could face Condi Rice, I don't know what else could do it for you?

The shot with Jamie's hands wide apart? She reminded me of a man who opened his pants and spoke of how large it was before it got away.

I think we need to bring back the silents. Just to recap that commission with a chance for some interactive COMMENT LABELS would work wonders at returning us all to sanity.

Or as Karen Hughes says: We're 10 Minutes from NORMAL. Hang in there, folks.

Avarice: An excessive or inordinate desire of gain; greediness after wealth, to desire money for its own sake. It's one of the seven deadly sins, you know.
