It strikes me as so utterly counterproductive, this search for a scapegoat we're on now. Mistakes were made, we didn't understand -- how many good people shall we bring down for that sin? I'm reminded of the people who were warned of the Cole, because a sharp analyst put together that something always happened after a tape was released and that ships were refueling in Yemen, but his bosses just thought he was contradicting a former paramore for spite.
Yes, find that analyst (who I believe resigned) bring him back, promote him. But do you fire the bosses?
