HOW IS THIS NOT A BLOG?

Washington Post media critic Howard Kurtz describes, in his introduction to the media coverage of the capture, his plan to begin updating his on-line column periodically through the day whenever things come up he has something to say about.

Isn't there a word for material published on-line that gets updated periodically through out the day? Hmm.
