There's a lot of data in polls, and media outlets can't report it all. But whether they cherry pick which results they report on or not? Depends on the issue and the outlet. Tonight ABC reported that the percentage finding casualty levels in Iraq unacceptable had jumped to 62%. True -- and by itself disturbing. But 61% still believe Iraq is part of the War on Terror. More important, when asked whether the United States should stay the course in Iraq, even if doing so means taking more military casualties, ABC neglected to mention that their poll shows Americans believe we must stay the course by twenty points. Plenty of other interesting results available in an easy to read format.
